Quinoa Flax Bread

I adapted this recipe from the recipe that came with my bread maker, for a basic whole grain loaf. My recipe makes approximately 1.5lb loaf, of vegan, whole grain bread, with quinoa and flax seeds.  This bread is delicious on it’s own, and works great for sandwiches and toast.

Here is my recipe for Quinoa Flax Bread in the bread machine:

Ingredients:

1 1/4 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
3 1/2 Cups Whole Grain Bread Flour
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Bread Machine Yeast
1/4 Cup Quinoa
1/4 Cup Flax Seeds

Instructions:

In a bread maker, add all of the ingredients in the order listed (starting with water).

Do not let yeast and salt touch (put salt on one side, and yeast on the other).

Set bread machine to a 1.5lb loaf on the Whole Grain cycle (this is cycle #11 on my Hamilton Beach bread maker), or set timed cycle to 2:55 Minutes.

Remove bread from loaf pan once cycle is complete, and let cool before slicing.

Enjoy!
