Strawberry Chips

In a failed attempt to make fruit leather, I had a happy accident and made Strawberry Chips instead. These chips are sweet, crispy and will have you wanting more, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Strawberry Chips take less than 5 minutes to prepare, and several hours in the oven, so if you want them for a specific occasion, you can just make them ahead of time and store them in an airtight container.

Here is the Home Baked Vegan’s recipe for Strawberry Chips:

Ingredients:
2 Cups Strawberries
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup

Instructions:

In a blender or food processor, purée the strawberries and maple syrup together until smooth.

Thinly spread over a silicone or parchment lined baking tray.

Bake at 170’ for 3-4 hours or until crisp in the middle.

You will be able to see the colour darken from the outside edges, inwards as it bakes, it is ready once the colour is uniform and dark red throughout.

Here is a picture halfway though baking, you can see it is not yet ready in the middle where the colour is lighter.

Remove from oven and let cool. Break apart into chips, and enjoy!
