Gluten Free Apple Crumble


This Gluten Free Apple Crumble is a deliciously healthy dessert, in fact it's so healthy, I ate a bowl for breakfast the other day. It is full of apples and oats, seasoned with cinnamon and maple syrup, with no refined sugar. While it tastes amazing on it's own, I highly recommend giving it a try with a dollop of coconut whip too.

Vegan

Dairy Free

Egg Free

Gluten Free

Refined Sugar Free

Soy Free

Here is the recipe for The Home Baked Vegan's Gluten Free Apple Crumble:



Ingredients:

Filling:
4 Apples
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
2 Tbsp Corn Starch

Topping:
1/2 Cup Almond Flour
1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1/4 Cup Non-Dairy Milk


Method:

Preheat the oven to 350' F

Peel and core the apples, and dice them into small pieces. 

In a medium bowl, stir together the apples along with all of the other ingredients for the filling.

Evenly distribute the apple filling into 4 individual sized baking dishes (I used 7oz Ramekins). Set aside. 

In a medium bowl, mix together the almond flour, rolled oats, cinnamon and baking powder. 

Add the non-dairy milk and maple syrup, and stir until combined. 

Spoon the mixture on top of the apple filling, evenly distributing it amongst the four baking dishes. 

Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, or until the top becomes golden brown.
