What do you do when you run out of hot sauce and it’s not to grocery day yet? Make your own hot sauce! I didn’t want to mace my whole house by boiling hot peppers over the stove, so I made this simple recipe for hot sauce using hot chili powder. My husband - the hot sauce connoisseur around here - helped me taste test and adjust the recipe after the first lick had me running my mouth under the sink faucet.

This simple recipe for homemade hot sauce is made with hot chili powder, and is insanely hot (though I suppose it depends on the hot chili powder you choose to use). Here is how to make Easy Homemade No-Cook Hot Sauce:


Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Vinegar
1/4 Cup Water
1 tsp Lime Juice 
3-4 Tbsp Chili Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Paprika
1 Tbsp Sugar

Method:

Add all of the ingredients to a small jar with a lid, and shake to blend. 

Store in the refrigerator.
